David Bartholomew, CHRM - Interim general Manager

David began his hospitality career in 2013 as a Reservationist/Revenue Analyst at Hotel Teatro in downtown Denver and joined Hotel Boulderado in March 2016. In a short period of time, he progressed to Reservations Manager, training all front-office staff with reservation procedures and assisting the Revenue Manager. David progressed to the Table Mountain Inn in Golden as Front Office & Revenue Manager, eventually taking on revenue management for Hotel Boulderado and received his Certificate in Hospitality Revenue Management from the American Hotel Lodging Educational Institute. David transitioned into his role as Assistant General Manager in January 2017 and now his role as Interim General Manager.

Cindy Hart - Director of Sales

Cindy Hart - Director of Sales

Cindy became part of the Hotel Boulderado team in February 2016. She has been a key development leader in the hotel sales industry for more than 20 years, most recently as Director of Sales for Saratoga Resort and Spa in Wyoming and previously serving on the opening team for SpringHill Suites by Marriott at Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora in the same role. She was Dual Director of Sales for White Lodging Services, hiring, training and mentoring sales teams for Courtyard and Residence Inn Golden. Cindy is a third-generation Boulder native and is excited to contribute her leadership experience to the long-term success of Hotel Boulderado.

Lauren Widmaier - Director of Marketing

Lauren Widmaier - Director of Marketing

Lauren spent her childhood in the Washington, D.C. area and studied psychology and hospitality and tourism at College of Charleston in South Carolina. Throughout her college career and post-graduation, Widmaier worked at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, starting in the spa and finishing as a Marketing Coordinator before working for Charlestowne Hotels, where she gained experience as a Marketing Manager overseeing initiatives for boutique luxury hotels. After relocating to Denver in 2015, Widmaier continued her career through independently contracted marketing work for three branded hotels before starting as Director of Marketing at Hotel Boulderado in early August 2016.

Laurel McKown - Director of Housekeeping & Sustainability

Laurel McKown - Director of Housekeeping & Sustainability

Laurel is a 30-year employee of Hotel Boulderado and oversees the housekeeping department and the property's sustainability program. Her background includes the mental health field, teaching, and working for the Grand America Company. She attended Carnegie Mellon Art Institute and received her B.F.A. from Wittenberg University.

Camille Burner - Operations Manager

Camille has been with Hotel Boulderado for the past four years utilizing her degree from Radford University in Recreation Parks and Tourism. Originally from Virginia, she started out in guest services and hotel reservations and now is leading the front desk and valet/bell team as Operations Manager.

John Payne - Executive chef

John Payne - Executive chef, spruce Farm & Fish, The Corner Bar, License No. 1

Since January 2017, Chef John Payne has served as executive chef at Hotel Boulderado's Spruce Farm + Fish, The Corner Bar and License No. 1.  His extensive experience working for highly acclaimed, farm-to-table restaurants on the West Coast, combined with several years of hospitality experience with Grand Hyatt hotels make him perfectly suited to oversee Hotel Boulderado's three restaurants.
Chef John spent ten years working his way up the ranks at several well-known San Francisco restaurants, most notably Jeremiah Tower's Stars.  He finessed his culinary skills in Seattle, working under James Beard Award Winning Chefs Tom Douglas and Jerry Traunfeld at their respective Seattle-area restaurants.
In 2008, Chef John was tapped to handle the opening of the new Grand-Hyatt Seattle's restaurants and enjoyed several years working for Hyatt, where he gained first-hand experience in the balance of hotel and restaurant responsibilities.  At Hotel Boulderado, Chef Payne is charged with helping develop the brand identity for Spruce Farm Fish, which operated under a different name and separately from the hotel for many years. He also oversees The Corner Bar, a longtime Boulder favorite, and License No. 1, which holds the city's first liquor license after prohibition.

Ken Davids - Maintenance Manager

Ken Davids - Maintenance Manager

Ken is a longtime worker for Concept Restaurants, starting a job with Jose Muldoon's in 1982. Two years later, he began working at Hotel Boulderado as kitchen manager of Franco's Restaurant. In 1989, he moved into the maintenance department and shortly after became department head.

Peggy Shreeve - Sales Manager, SMERFE & Association Markets

Peggy joined Hotel Boulderado in June 2016. The native of Minnesota arrived in Colorado to attend University of Northern Colorado, graduating with degree in organizational communications and psychology. She began her hotel career at Denver Marriott City Center in 1986 and 30 years later is proud to be at Hotel Boulderado. Although she has worked in every market segment and for Marriott, Hilton and Intercontinental Hotel Group, the last 10 years have been in the SMERFE market, which is her true passion in the industry.

Samantha Danna - Catering Manager

Samantha Danna - Catering Manager

Sam joined Hotel Boulderado as Social Catering Manager - Event & Wedding Planner in May 2016. She relocated to Denver from Charleston, South Carolina where she spent five years as Manager of Operations at Crazy Dutchman Catering. Sam's bachelor's degree in food science from Clemson University and culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston along with her diverse work experience and vibrant personality makes her a great asset to Hotel Boulderado.

Erin Myers - Catering Manager

Erin Myers - Catering Manager

Erin is a Boulder native with over 25 years experience in the restaurant industry. Beginning early in high school washing dishes and bussing tables and moving up to serving and bartending, she fell in love with food, wine and hospitality. Erin attended the Culinary School of the Rockies, (later reopened as the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts) and graduating in early 2002, she went on to cook at Vesta Dipping Grill in Denver under local celebrity chef Matt Selby. Eventually making her way back to Boulder to cook for Dave Query's restaurant group Big Red F at Rhumba. With a destire to return to the front of the house to refine her wine service and knowledge, she opened Radda Trattoria under chef and sommelier Mathew Jansen. Upon moving to Madison, Wisconsin in 2011, she was given the opportunity to manage high volume, award winning restaurant Merchant and eventually manage the front of the house at Heritage Tavern under two time James Beard nominated chef Dan Fox. Upon moving back to Boulder in the spring of 2015, Erin started at Hotel Boulderado managing the front of the house and the bars at both Spruce Farm & Fish and The Corner Bar. Erin began as a Catering Manager in January of 2017 to bring her love of food, wine and hospitality to catering with a focus on private dining.

Ashley gorman

Ashley gorman  - Marketing manager

Ashley was born and raised in south Florida where she studied graphic design at Digital Media Arts College in Boca Raton. Throughout college, Ashley worked as a freelance and in-house designer at various companies. Post graduation she was hired by DGCG, a south Florida advertising agency, where she fine-tuned her corporate and branding design skills along with gaining experience in marketing, advertising and social media. After relocating to Boulder in 2016, Ashley joined Hotel Boulderado as Marketing Manager in late November 2016.

Peter Morrison - Executive Chef, Banquets & Special Events

Peter Morrison - Executive Chef, Banquets & Special Events

Peter grew up in Shawnee, Kansas and began working in kitchens at age 15. While earning a bachelor's degree in political science from University of Kansas, he continued working in restaurants and developing a love for food and the service industry. His grandparents' avid gardening and grandmother's simple, yet delicious Americana cooking were inspirations and led him to Vail in 1995 to attend culinary school at Johnson & Wales University. In July 1998, Peter started as a cook at Hotel Boulderado and worked his way up to Executive Chef - Banquets and Special Events in 2004, developing a passion for great food, service and historic hotels. While at Hotel Boulderado, he has contributed to local nonprofits such as The Boulder County AIDS Project and Serving Up Hope Luncheon to benefit Community Food Share.
