Maintenance department technician

front desk manager

The Front Desk Manager will help run smooth and efficient hotel operations and assist with all related guest service issues, ensuring enhanced guest satisfaction and maximized revenues. The Front Desk Manager will assist with recruiting and training all front of house employees.
Wages are dependent upon experience with additional benefits listed below.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure 100% Guest Satisfaction through guest services.
  • Provide prompt resolutions to guest complaints as well as internal follow-up.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for on-boarding and training.
  • Assist Operations Manager with the weekly front of house schedule.
  • Recruit, train and develop front of house staff- this includes the front desk and the front drive.
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of all front of house supplies.
  • Maximize revenue through reservations and guest processes.
  • Monitor and control labor expenses.
  • Support Operations Manager with creating Front Desk meeting agendas and training opportunities.
  • Evaluate front of house operations regularly to improve efficiency.
  • Special Projects as Assigned.
 
Education & Experience
  • At least 3 years' progressive experience in a hotel; or a 4-year degree with 1 year of hotel experience; or a 2-year degree and 2 years hotel experience.
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous Independent Boutique Hotel experience preferred.
 
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary is dependent on experience.
  • Vacation Pay- one week after 6 months, two weeks after a full year.

Concierge

As the concierge at Hotel Boulderado, you will be responsible for creating a unique and memorable guest experience by providing resources and recommendations developed from a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the hotel and outlets as well as local businesses, restaurants, venues and special events.
 
Starting pay is $12.00 an hour in addition to tips and other earning opportunities listed below.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop positive, ongoing relationships with our guests by providing excellent resources and recommendations.
  • Accompany guests to local attractions as requested and participate in local tours through our shuttle service
  • Regularly walk the streets of Boulder to familiarize with new restaurants, shops, and points of interest.
  • Visit and research surrounding cities/towns of which might be of interest to our guests: (Estes Park, Lyons, Louisville, Golden, Downtown Denver, etc.)
  • Utilize your local expertise to arrange special perks and under-the-radar hot spots
  • Act as our resident dog-walker and dog-sitter or recommend local services as needed.
  • Develop relationships with local businesses to utilize any and all services that might benefit our guests.
  • Stay up-to-date on all City of Boulder events, all CU events, and special holiday happenings. Know what is going on in Boulder at all times and keep the front desk updated with this information.
  • Keep all brochures, business cards, promotions, etc. well stocked and up-to-date.
  • Check the concierge email daily, ensuring our guests are responded to in a timely and helpful manner.
  • Call all hotel arrivals to handle any special requests that guests may need prior to their stay, and develop guest itineraries as necessary.
  • Coordinate all VIP arrivals, transportation requests, welcome letters, massages, and guest room amenities.
  • Coordinate reservations for restaurants, travel, tours, flower deliveries, etc.
  • Process wedding, company & all gift bags that come into the hotel- ­organize and arrange for hand over or delivery by the front desk.
  • Incorporate all necessary guest information into the property management system as a centralized location for front desk and concierge to manage guest needs.
  • Research industry trends in relation to automated guest communication and concierge management systems.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop innovative group activities, community events, and special events within the hotel & outlets.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
 
Education & Experience 
  • Polite, outgoing personality with a passion for making a memorable guest experience.
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college experience preferred.
  • Previous hotel concierge experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of local businesses, restaurants, venues, and an ongoing knowledge of special events.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Reservationist

As a Reservationist at Hotel Boulderado, you will be responsible for making and modifying guest reservations. A Reservationist must exude stand out customer service to establish a good relationship with commercial clients and transient guests.
 
Starting pay is $13.00 an hour, with additional earning opportunities (monthly bonuses, internal incentives, holiday and vacation pay). Full time employees are offered a free RTD bus pass, medical, dental and vision insurance after 60 days, and a simple IRA after one year of employment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process all reservation inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform as a reservationist to all test call expectations
  • Complete all commission payment inquires
  • Maintain and process waitlist reservations
  • Audit and modify bookings from 3rd party channels
  • Assist Revenue Manager with GDS rate loading, 3rd party promotions, updating rate strategies/restrictions, and other revenue related responsibilities
  • Communication via phone and email for all reservation needs
  • Manage and process credit card authorization forms
  • Assist sales/banquets team with event and group reservations
  • Keep company file cards updated
  • File and maintain all paperwork related to reservations from fax and email
  • Other projects as assigned
 
Education & Experience
  • 2 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Previous Independent Boutique Hotel experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient using with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Visual One PMS and TravelClick/iHotelier preferred.

Valet and Bellmen

Valet and Bellmen are the face of the hotel, operating from the front drive. You'll be expected to multi-task and display organizational skills with exceptional customer service. Hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
 
Starting pay is $8.00 an hour + gratuities, with additional earning opportunities (quarterly bonuses, internal incentives, holiday and vacation pay). Full time employees are offered a free RTD bus pass, medical, dental and vision insurance after 90 days, and a simple IRA after one year of employment.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Checking in and checking out hotel guests to their rooms
  • Pulling and parking guest vehicles
  • Meet guest requests and needs
  • Oversee room deliveries of guest luggage and packages
  • Addressing VIP Guests and VIP group arrivals
  • Promote guest surveys and reviews through TripAdvisor and other guest satisfaction comment outlets
  • Have the ability to recommend hikes, restaurants, activities, live music within Boulder
